SMS / Text Message Consent
How parents opt in to text messages from Dugsiya.
How consent is collected
Dugsiya sends text messages only to parents and guardians who have explicitly opted in. Consent is collected in person, on a signed paper form, when a parent enrolls their child at their local Quran school (dugsi). The child's teacher then enters the parent's mobile number into the Dugsiya teacher dashboard. Dugsiya sends messages on the teacher's behalf about that parent's own child's Quran education.
We do not purchase phone numbers or send messages to anyone who has not signed the consent form below. The signed forms are retained by Dugsiya as our record of consent.
